Thanksgiving 2014

This year, we ended up staying in Portland for Thanksgiving and hosting the feast at our house!! Hosting Thanksgiving was the best motivation for Daren and I to finish fixing up our house!
After 8 1/2 years of living in this house, we finally put up pictures upstairs!! We also got a new chandelier for the dining room, new TV stand and a console table for the front entry!!

Now we were ready to host Thanksgiving in style!!!!

Thanksgiving morning from 7-8:30am,  Kara, Sammy and I did the Thanksgiving Boost Boot camp!

The workout was intense and when we were at the track it was raining on us!!
Workout was done and now we will not feel so bad pigging out at dinner!!

After brining the turkey for 48 hours, at
11am, the turkey went into the oven!!

4 1/2 hours later, the turkey was done and looking amazing!!

Thanks to Henry with all of his carving skills to cut up the turkey all the way down to the bones!!!

Now it was time to eat!!
Thanks to everyone that brought food over! I could not have done all of the dishes without you all!!
-Kara brought a great kale salad and yummy appetizers.
-Auntie Sharon brought the sweet potatoes with marshmellows on top, Nana's cranberry relish and pies/ice cream.
-Sammy brought the famous stuffing!!
Along with all of those dishes, we had turkey, honey baked ham, Hawaiian sweet rolls, mashed potatoes and green bean casserole!!
We had a feast!! We also had a ton of leftovers that should last us a couple of days of no cooking!!

great picture that Kaz took!

the kiddos are getting so big!!

they are still so goofy though!!

they loved playing on the ipad

someone is done for the night!

Now we just have a year to get ready for next year!! :)
